Now is the time for Glory!

In the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation God deals with both individuals and with corporate people groups. He cares equally for both! The aim is for the whole body of Christ to manifest the glory
In Isaiah 59: 2 God says this,

“My Spirit that is in you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth… This is God’s covenant.”

As a result of the Word and the Spirit being expressed through us Isaiah 60:1 says

“Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

Isaiah 60 is full of promises concerning the glory of Zion. I believe that Zion is a picture of the church.

v3 - Nations coming to your light kings to the brightness of your emerging

v4 – sons and daughters return (backsliders return)

v5 - Transfer of wealth from seas/world (Seas are always used in the scriptures to symbolize the fallen world, or satan’s influence. For example with the new heaven and the new earth in Revelation 21: 1 it says “ and there was no longer any sea”)

v17 - Governed by peace -  nothing missing nothing broken and ruled by righteousness

v18 - No violence or destruction in the land

v21 - All your people will be righteous

v22 - The least a thousand
- The smallest a mighty nation
- The chapter ends with this phrase:

“I am the Lord in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Chapter 61 is the scripture that Jesus quotes at the beginning of His ministry.

In Luke 4:21 Jesus said that “this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Jesus ushered in the time for God’s glory to manifest on the earth. We are certainly living in the fullness of the time for all in Isaiah 60 to be fulfilled concerning the glory of Zion.

Jesus’ throne ministry of intercession is not simply to intercede for us if we mess up, but to speak our restoration into being! The good (glorious) work He has begun in us He will perform until the day of His unveiling in fullness. Jesus needs a mouth in the earth to not keep silent confessing the glory of God that resides in His inner image and because we are in Him that inner image needs to be built in us so the glory of God can be manifested.

‘…the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him (Jesus) who fills everything in everyway’ (Ephesians 1:23), God wants a Church, a people who fill the earth. God wants a people who represent Him in the earth. In 1 John 4:17 the Bible says, ‘…as He is so also are we in this world’ (NASB), notice it says as He is, not as He was when He was on the earth, He is now in a glorified state, with a resurrected body. Jesus desires the whole Church to come into glorified state, to come into the power of resurrection before He returns. In the context of writing about the period after Jesus’ resurrection the writer to the Hebrews says this about Jesus ‘The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being…’ (Hebrews 1:3), and we are the fullness of Him who fills everything in everyway (Ephesians 1:23). I believe the Church in the earth will be an expression of the fullness of the radiance of God’s glory and a representation of His being.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

“For no matter how many promises God has made they are yes in Christ and so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God”

As individuals in the body of Christ we need to get a hold of the revelation of Christ in us the inner image of glory and start moving in and speaking out the Anointed Word of faith. Then the manifested Word will be apparent. If the whole Church starts to develop an inner image of glory and starts to faithfully confess it then it will manifest. Jesus- people, filling the earth. We were the thought of goodness in Him before the world began! It’s time for the sons of God to emerge – its time for the powers and principalities to be awestruck by the revelation of our God’s wisdom through a glorious church. It’s time to change things for the better and forever.
