Your Focus Determines Your Reality

In one of the Star Wars films that I like so much, a certain Jedi Knight said to his young disciple; “Your focus determines your reality.” I don’t know about you but I want my focus to be the Son, The Lord Jesus, “the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being” (Hebrews 1:2 NIV). I want my focus to be the Gospel of Grace, the Covenant of God made sure by the blood of His Son which is “able to build you up and give you an inheritance among those who are sanctified” (Acts 20:32 NIV) Let your focus, your hope be in Christ Jesus and Him only. Live in an expectation of the goodness of God in your life and in this world, not a fearful expectation of punishment. God is not out to get you He is out to love you and pour His love in you and through you to a world that desperately needs Him. You can lift your head up high, not because of your good record but because of the perfect record of Jesus You are God’s beloved, and this gives you dominion in life over the voices of negativity, fear and condemnation. Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!
