Conviction is not a negative emotion
it is a necessary part of life. I don’t just mean we need to be convicted when
we have hurt someone or done something we know is out of line. To be a person
of strong conviction about what we believe and what we stand for and what we
want to live for is an extremely positive thing. People may not agree with you
but most people can’t help having some admiration for a person with strong
conviction.
Embrace Conviction – Reject
Condemnation. Conviction empowers positive change and advancement, condemnation makes a
person unfit for any worthy purpose
As a Christian, healthy conviction
will manifest as an acknowledgement of our need for Jesus in any and every area
of life.
The conviction of the Holy Spirit
identifies where ‘worldly’ thinking has dominated our identity and behaviour.
The Holy Spirit convicts us of our need for Jesus and of our righteous identity
in Jesus. The Holy Spirit also brings us the conviction
that our enemy is condemned!
